Baga is a town located in Bardez, Goa. Baga beach is situated in this town and it is a famous tourist destination. The beach was named after the Baga creek. It has all kinds of facilities from parking, restaurants, entertainment and more. It is one of the most famous beach in Goa and it attracts thousands of tourists every year.

St. Alex Church
The St. Alex Church is located approximately 3 km from Baga Beach. It was built in 1741 by the village community. The Church is devoted to Our Lady of Guadalupe. It has two towers. It is one of the oldest churches in Goa.

St. Cajetan’s Church
The church is dedicated to Our Lady of Providence and it is also known as Church of Divine Providence. This church is a part of World heritage site. It is constructed in the form of Greek cross and has a beautiful appearance. It is made of laterite rocks. The construction was completed in 1661.

Fort Aguada
The place is just 10 km from Baga beach. It was built in 1612 by Portuguese. The view from the Fort Aguada is marvelous and you can see the Arabian Sea. Aguada beach has white sand and it is one of the best beaches in Goa.

Kesarval Springs

Baga Retreat House
Baga Retreat House is also known as Casa de Retiros and it is dedicated to Saint Francis Xavier. It is said that this place was established in 1951. The place is also famous for trekking and people love the green hill located here.

Ozran Beach
This beach is at a distance of 7.5km from Baga beach. This Ozran Beach is a small one located near to Anjuna beach. The main attraction here is a human face carved on a rock by a tourist. The beach is rocky and it is one of the less crowded beaches.

Candolim Beach

Chapora Beach

People mainly look for fun by playing water sports at Baga beach. The baga beach water sports timings are mostly from 10.00 AM to 6.00 PM. But during the off-season, some of the water sports might be discontinued.

How To Reach Baga Beach
By Road
This beach is well connected from all areas of Goa. Frequent buses are available from Panaji and Mapusa. Also, you can hire or rent a cab to reach this beach within minute.
By Train
There is no railway station in Baga. The nearest railway stations are Katmali which is 17 km and Panaji which is 15 km. The other one is Margao which is 40 km from Baga. There are trains from Mangalore, Alappuzha, Calicut, Thrissur, Mumbai, Trivandrum, Kochi and other major cities. You can book tickets till any of these railway stations and from there you can hire a cab to reach Baga.
By Air
The nearest airport to Baga beach is Dabolim. From here, you can hire a cab to reach the beach.
Getting Around Baga Beach
Most of the locations within Baga is walk-able. In case, if you are looking to visit nearby beaches or places you can hire a bike from local shops. If you are a group, you can hire a taxi, remember to negotiate on the cost.
