The best time to visit this beach is between the months of October to February. The temperature ranges from 32 degree Celsius in the day to 18 degree Celsius in the evening. The climate will be pleasant and tides are low during this period and offer an ideal time to reach this beach.

Kottha Koduru beach
Koduru beach otherwise called as Kottha Koduru beach . It is a popular beach located few kilometers away from Nellore city. Plenty of buses are available from Atmakur bus station to reach this site. People can offer their prayers at the Velangani church located on the beach. The beach has rocky cliffs with evergreen palm trees surrounding it.
Krishnapatnam Beach
Krishnapatnam is a major port of Andhra Pradesh located few kilometers from Nellore city. Therefore, many travelers visit this beach to relax and take some beautiful photos of this beach. There is an old lighthouse standing adjacent to the beach, which provides bird’s eye view of the Bay of Bengal from the top of it. The lighthouse is open to tourists from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM every day.
Penchalakona water falls
Penchalakona waterfalls is located in Raipur of Nellore district. This waterfalls has amazing greenery. So tourists from all over the state visit this beautiful waterfalls and enjoy its evergreen scenery. The falls is the source for Kandaleru River originating from the Penchalakona hills.

Penchalakona Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple
Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in the Penchalakona hill is a popular Hindu pilgrim center in Nellore district. Lord Narasimha is the main deity of this temple. Here Lord Narasimha manifested himself as a rock like structure, hence it is referred to as Penusila. During the month of April, the temple celebrates its important festival, which is attended by a large number of devotees.

Ranganatha Swamy Temple
Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple otherwise called as Talpagiri Ranganatha temple is a famous temple visited by large number of devotees. This 12th-century temple is in Nellore at the Southern bank of River Penna. Lord Vishnu is the main deity of this temple. The temple is an architectural marvel with huge pillars. Radha Yatra is an important festival in this temple.

Chandragiri Fort and Museum
Chandragiri fort is a historical fort in Chittoor district. The fort is 1000 years old and is constructed using stone, lime mortar and timber by Yadava Naidu Kings. The government of Andhra Pradesh reconstructed this fort into a historical museum and displayed the collection of sculptures from the 2nd century B.C. War accessories like swords, shields and other weapons used by the Vijayanagara Kingdom are also displayed.

Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary
Nelapattu is a village near Nellore. Nelapattu bird sanctuary shelters large bird and plant species. In this bird sanctuary there are more than 189 bird species and majority of them are migrated birds. Therefore its a must visit place. October to April is the time to watch some of the rare migrated birds in this sanctuary.

Satish Dhawan Space and Research Centre is India’s prestigious space research center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. This Island is setup in 1969 to conduct and launch satellites and space rockets. The Island is near the coast of Bay of Bengal and ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) Operates the rocket launching site with two launching pads. Chandrayaan-1 and Mangalyaan are India’s first Lunar and Mars orbiters launched successfully from this site.
Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary
Pulicat Lake, which is spread over a area of 600 sq km is India’s largest backwater lake located at the border of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu . The biodiversity of this lake and its clean ecology made the government to recognize it as a bird sanctuary. Many rare bird species like flamingos can be found here and there is a boating facility for tourists to enjoy the beauty of the lake. October to December is the perfect time to visit this place.
